STEWARDING BEGINS WITH...
In covenant with God, we receive blessings such as our gifts, talents, opportunities, possessions, divine health, favor and the list goes on. As stewards, we grow in our giving by acknowledging God as the owner of all things, including the resources that He has entrusted to our care. As such, we do not take casually the matter of giving.

WHY IS GIVING AN ACT OF WORSHIP?
In Matthew 6:21, Jesus teaches that "where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." Giving is indeed more than a transaction, it is a reflection of a greater approach to life. We give our tithes and offerings with our whole heart.

"And you shall love the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength." Mark 12:30

"And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as iit is this day." Deuteronomy 8:18
WHAT IS A TITHE?
The word "tithe" means "a tenth." We return to the Lord 10% of what He has given to us because it all belongs to Him. God tells us it is holy and it is to be given to His house. In Malachi 3:10 (NIV), God says, "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in my house." The storehouse in the Old Testament is a representation of the church in the New Testament. As New Testament believers, we worship the Lord with the tithe of all that comes to us in obedience to His Word.
WHY IS GENEROUS GIVING IMPORTANT?
We grow in worship as children of God with every opporutnity to freely give to Him through tithes and offerings. The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7:
"Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not relunctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
